Eagle Scout is the highest Rank in Scouts BSA attained by only 6.5% of all eligible Boy Scouts (2018). In addition to earning 21 merit badges and serving in leadership roles, the Scout must complete a capstone service project, the Eagle Project, in which he, in the role of project manager, leads others for the benefit of the community.  Scouts don't earn their Eagle Scout rank for accolades and benefits. They do it because they are living the Scout Law every day. ​
